Default So much problems before inspection

almost due for inspection and the 01 PT got so much problems that need to have the shop fix. it's around 70k now I always drive it in the citys rough roads everyday so all this car quality weakness surfaces in this car. I hope you guys can help out letting me know what seems to cause these. THANKS

1)The AC problem I fixed is back the compressor is clicking again on and off. I'm sure it's a major leak since I fill 2 cans of freon in last week. (I'm sure the mechanic guy remove some AC lines when working on the clutch and loosen something.

2)The steering line is very wet you can see this line just looking under the front of the car. May need replacement

3)Front and rear suspension even with new bushing is making alot of metal to metal or sqeeking noise.(Tink tink tink tink!!......klnick! or this one.........EK EK EK EK from the back(what a weak suspension)

4)Around 70K now should I request a timing belt replacement?

5)this ones big..........It seems like a dragging/roaring sound coming from the back of the car occationally while it moving. Sometimes when I make standing reverse this same roaring noise from the rear. The only think that can get rid of the noise is that by pulling the hand brake.

I had it with this no matter how much $ it would cost I'll have to fix all these problems. I like the car but honestly if I can sell it I would. Yes its a manual [|)]

3) Check the shocks. They have bushings, too.
4) Up to you, but it's big $ - I didn't and passed 87,000.
5) Suspect rear brakes - have you had them done? Sounds like could be metal-metal.

Sorry, but I'd say that many problems with your car are self-induced.
1. You should have taken the car in for the A/C. You tried to fix it cheap, and wasted all that money. We have all been where the money isn't there, but sometimes you have to realize that cheap=temporary.
2. This is a leak. Have it checked by a pro, not “the guy down the street”. If you put it off, the pump will need replacing. Get it fixed, not patched; now, not later.
3. 70k of city driving will beat on any car. Did you have a good shop diagnose and repair the bushings? Did they recommend anything else?
4. Judging from the service life of the other components on your car, I’d say yes. The motor should not bend valves when the belt breaks, but it's easier and cheaper to replace BEFORE it breaks.
5. Brakes. While you can save money by doing it yourself, this is a safety item, and your past performance is an indication that you should have a pro look at it. There are a lot of things that should be checked when this job is done.
The shop that did your clutch does not sound like a good shop. Check with other owners and find one that can do the job properly. If you judge a shop only by price, you will get low quality along with the low price. I'm not trying to slam you, you just need to realize that cars have to be maintained properly to deliver good service. My PT is the first car I've owned that had less than 70,000 miles on it. I'd buy cheap, fix what was needed and get dependable cars.
