Default Help with sway bars

I posted this on the suspension section put little traffic there to respond. Can someone comment on where to buy the sway bars, and do we need the front as well (seeing we already have one there) I was quoted $429 on a set Not installed. It sounded high. feedback anyone? Gary

Gary, if you go with a small rear bar, you can just do that. If you are looking for a real canyon carver, get a matched pair.

Yep. just a rear will run around $200 or so. They are all priced around the same.
$400 or so for Mopar or top quality.

I heard of a few cheaper models out ther. but not sure.
I installed the Mopar Stage 1 kit a week ago & just love it

I admit confusion on sway bars. I had a rear one on my '02, but Chrysler deleted them - I want a rear bar, because I figure I can do that myself, but don't know what "small" is - I found a 7/8" one -

Also - I know the rear requires a mounting kit, but I've read of several failures of the Eibach mounting kit - is the Mopar kit any different/better?[:I]
I also want to lower the rear 1.5 - 2" - Sci-Fi shows on his site a brand that sells rears only, but I can't locate them - anyone know of rear lowering springs only for sale?

That's great, thanks - they don't appear to be progresive-wound - for a few bucks more, I can can get these :

I'd just pitch the fronts.

Don, check your axle beam to see if you have holes. you may need to drill holes for the center links. i know the early 03s had the holes but not sure if they were deleted.

$250 sounds like a decent price for both bars.

I really don't wanty to do both bars unless I have to. My '02 handled better than the '05 does - I think I'll start by lowering rear, see how that is, then maybe a rear sway bar - try to replace what Chrysler took away...[xx(]

Yeah, the coils should not be uniformly spaced - progressive wound has more coils at one end so the more it gets compressed, the more resistance it gives.
