30 mpg in my convertible

Well, technically, 29.9, but close enough for me. About 75% was freeway driving, both top up and down. That windscreen I added really works. I can eliminate 95% of the wind if I put the windows up. (About 80 % when down) I still feel it slightly on the top of my head (I'm 6'2") but usually need a hat for the sun anyway.
This base model, 5 speed, purple 'vert just gets better and better.

lucky. I get 17 city, 21 highway if im lucky. I have no idea why. Ive done everything. Used to be 13 before i lightened my foot up

Was that averaged acrioss several tank-fuls?
I got an exceptinally good mileage a couple times, but it's always followed by a poor mileage tank-ful. This is probably because I didn't fill the tank all the way when I got the good mileage calculation.

Then with the next tankful I'd get crummy mileage because that extra gallon or so got put in with that tankful.

No, that was one tank. The previous was only 25 but was much less highway miles. I always fill up completely, and get pretty consistant results, but you are correct, the more tanfuls the more accurate the results.
