Default A/C Clogged???

Anyone ever have anything crawl up into their cowl or otherwise block/ restrict airflow? This past weekend, the A/C was fine, but a little low on the airflow on the first setting, but then this morning, no flow at all. I put it to high and still felt barely any air, so I closed the vents and then I heard a noise that sounded as though a piece of paper (or something) was blocking the air flow from the vent housed in the airbag cover.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. My PT is out of warranty (43,000+ miles) and I'd rather not pay a bunch of money if this is perhaps a problem I can correct myself. After I got to work, it looked like someone ran a hose under my car; A LOT of water running out from the A/C.

Thanks.[8)]

Someone else may be able to upply more information, but I read somewhere that you can access the A/C venting behind the glove compartment. There is also somewhere external that can trap leaves. Just not sure where that is. Sorry

Air intake is thru the 'mesh' that surrounds the window washer filler on the passenger side.

First clean the top of the mesh, then...

You can remove it by carefully popping out the plastic 'screws' that hold it in (they aren't really screws, but plastic 'rivets' that can be reused if carefully removed, the secret is to get the center 'screw' to come up which will then allow the base to be pried up).

you will then have access to the intake plenum for cleaning.

Search for the 'cabin air filter' threads for more info on this area.
