$1,200 and a note from your mom will take you to the next level.[]
The price is not bad and that amount of money spent on other power mods won't give you the same gain. If you get a bit of help in the form of tips and advice from the maker of the kit along with a conservative approach to the amount of boost, you could have a successful power mod. Less than a GT, more than a base, somewhere in the middle.

If you even think there would be a chance that you would sell your PT in the next year (or two), don't do it. You would really shoot yourself in the foot as far as trade-in. This would be a red flag to a car buyer for sure.

I understand your temptation. You said that you're 50/50 on this. Well I'm 60/40 but I don't know if that's for or against.[:I]

I agree with GR8FLPT, go with a Whipple. Jusy make sure the person installing REALY knows what their doing. 99% of problems are from a bad install, or trying to modify for more power from some tech that didn't know what their doing. I went through PT Tuning & have not had one bit of problem. Beside a turbo to slow off the line, compared to S.C. Had a GT pt owner fine out the hard way this weekend [8)]

I'd say NO. You've had too many problems with the stock vehicle. Modifying it will only add complexity. You've had problems getting a stock clutch installed. How will a used hop-up part be easier? Like ElectricBlueGT says, if you want more, trade up to a GT. Either way, good luck.
I have found out the problem with the clutch it got nothing to do with a bad installation at all it was just some tranny oil on metal part that created that smell. no lick or no problems at all. just some oil splashed on metal when removing the tranny all normal.

As for getting the Wipple the only thing that is stopping me is that I'm not so sure of sending some stranger $1200 for something I haven't seen yet. They charger was on ebay and so far I'm 10/90 and don't think I'll be getting it anymore just not worth the risk

So I'll let you guys/gals know the contact for the seller
The sellers email is ingalls5@aol.com tell him that Jeff(yhl01)hook u up[|)] I'm sure his for real since he has a ebay account and the story he told me was constant. I'll be trading in the car in a year or 2 so base on you guys advices I don't think it's worth it for the extra 30-40hp.

Drop me a thanks when u do get the charger or throw stone at me when u get rip off. [^]
