Default Aaoogah horn

Where can I find a true aaoogah horn that will fit a turbo model?

There's 3 on eBay. One's right out of a 1928 Model A Ford.

Or you can go to Pep Boys and buy a Wolo brand imitation Awoogaah for about $30 that will fit behind the grill of a GT and sound like an original. I have one on my GT Vert.

Advance Auto is where I got mine - $30. Called "novelty horn" or some such.
I have a turbo, squeezed it behind where stock air intake was. On support bar behind grill in front of radiator is a spot, under the cowl by windshield wipers and in passenger wheel well by stock horn are other possible locations.
I ran wires following the hood release cable and went into the steering column - only 2 screws and 2 rear clips hold the surround around the steering column & lots of room for wires. I stuck the button just below where ignition switch is - no reaching.[?]

I mounted mine in the front wheel well, works fine. The cheap ones (like mine) don't sound like the real thing, the original are much more expensive. Gary

Thanks for all the replies-- I've listened to some of the aaoogaah horns online and they sounded more like a sick cow.[:I] Wanted to find a true sound and not spend a whole lot of money. Thanks also for the installation input - will leave that to my hubby. Will check some of these places out. Can't remember if I read it here in this forum or not, but you can only use this horn in additon to the factory installed horn - the laws state that the original cannot be removed???? Am I right??? Thanks!!!

Depends on your state laws. In Florida: Every motor vehicle when operated upon a highway shall be equipped with a horn in good working order and capable of emitting sound audible under normal conditions from a distance of not less than 200 feet. No horn or other warning device shall emit an unreasonably loud or harsh sound or a whistle.

That can be taken in several ways but doesn't say you can't replace the OEM horn with a horn that was the norm many years ago (Aoogah).

I unfortunately have nothing constructive to add to the conversation, but I just wanted to say that that is going to sound awesome! Good luck in your search!
