Default Fire Paint

When I was at the world of wheels recently I saw a unique alernative to the traditional flame paint job. It actually looked like real fire. all I can tell you is was awesome. I wish I had my camera to show you. If anyone has any pics stored of this paint, please post for all to see. Gary

Gary,

Thoses "real" flames have been around for a long time. PT CHIX on this forum has them on her cruiser. It's a pretty expensive process but if it's done right IMHO it can't be beat. Lots of talented painters out there and the "real" flames have come out on all sorts of cars, trucks and bikes and other stuff.

Go to killerpaint.com he's your man. There was an entire show on him on Rides on Sunday. Mike Lovallee and his Tru Fire paint technique. It was an sight to watch.

Mike's been doing tru-fire for quite some time now... but his other artwork is breathtaking as well. Nice guy, too.

He used to have his shop here in NY, but moved out west toward more of the market he could cater too... and could afford it! LOL!

He sent us a photo several years ago of a red PT with tru-fire flames, and it was 'killer'!

Mike Lavallee now lives in the Pacific Northwest and has his shop in Washington State. His custom painting skills are in such demand that, even if you can afford it, there is a long wait to get your car or motorcycle done. IMHO, Mike's custom flames are some of the most realistic flames I have ever seen [^] [8D] and the minimum cost for painting them starts at 6K and goes up from there!!! [:0] Below is a picture of a car that he painted the flames on that took first place in the PT Cruiser Class at the Mopars Unlimited "Spring Roundup" Car Show recently in Bellevue, WA.

I know a guy in the burbs who is just going
to get into the real flame thing from what
I've been told.....I've already offered up my
cruiser a a test car if needed...just awaiting a reply with crossed fingers now........I'll pass along any info if I hear
anything.....
