Default turbo's

is the turbo engine the same as the touring? if so, can you put a turbo on a non-turbo cruiser? i have an 04 touring and i would like to get some serious performance without nitrous. can someone tell me what would be good to do.

Engines are not the same. Turbo engine is beefed up. Can't just add a turbo and get GT power. You can add a turbo like a Hahn turbo and keep the boost down to 6 lbs and not beef up the internals. If you want higher boost you need to upgrade engine internals. Here is the turbo guru. Bob Stockum.

Welcome, Silver04Cruiser.
Good choice of color....
Agree 100% with Mean Green. Engine internals are stronger in the turbo, and the cooling system is bigger. It's why I traded in my '02.
Bob Stockum can get you performance, with or without a turbo.

Welcome. Try the search function, this has been asked many times. Lots of info is here, just check the previous posts for power adding, nitrous, turbos and superchargers.

Hahn stage 1 @ 5psi will yeild approx 60hp increase at crank.
Order through Bob and get a better price.
Cost is somewhere around $2700 depending on if you choose to add any upgrades.
Install runs around a grand, so I did it myself.

Have since added an intercooler and once I get a stronger clutch I will up the boost putting me at or about GT stage0 level. This is on stock 9.5:1 internals so it wont hold up to that kind of pressure for long.

Rally, are you waiting for it to break? Nothing ever breaks right in front of the house How come you don't go inside and then up boost and have more fun?
