Default Goodyear Strikes AGAIN

I have a 2003 PT just the basic classic one

it has 30,000 kms on it whats that 18,000 miles ?

Yesterday for the 3rd time i had to replace one of the Goodyear tires..

this tire was replaced less than a year ago and only had 7000 kms on it

While Goodyear did replace it i still had to pay a $36.00 fee

My vehicle before this was a Ford Explorer and we all know about those tires

Whats with the tires on the cars these day..

Well I for one will NEVER buy a new set of Goodyear or Firestone Tires ever

Oh i feel better now i have vented

LOL

I feel for you but pretty soon you're going to run out of tire brands to buy!

Last Friday I traded in my 02 Limited edition and bought an 04 GT, when I did, I was resigned to fact that I would probably have to deal with the badyears again. Imagine my pleasant surprise when I found that there is a complete set of Kumho Supra tires on the GT, in near-new condition!!!

The tires live up to all the good reviews so far, quiet and the whole car handles great.

On my wife's touring edition, after the 2nd badyear started with the tread separation, we gave up and bought a set of Michelin Hydroedge. We both couldn't be happier, and we'll be more happy when the $50 gift card from Michelin's promotion come s in!

I love my Yoko tires much better all around than my Goodyears which did last 40,000 with no poblems at all exept that my RSA's didnt handle, ride, or as quiet as my Yokohama Avid 4Vs's!

I agree. The Michelin Hydro Edge tire is the best.

However they don't make the size that would fit the '03 GT.

So we had to settle for BF Goodrich g-Force T/A kdw2.

(Which sounds like a 4x4 on the highway. "What did you say? I can't hear you over the loud tire noise." I SAID IT SOUNDS LIKE A 4X4 ON THE HIGHWAY.)

While I have hit something in the road and had a Michelin replaced, that's the only problems I've ever had - they last a long time.
All I buy. [?]

I like Michelin and have had those for a couple of years on my wife's Stratus (previously) and they came with her Sienna van. On the Cruiser, I have Kumho because they were a good buy for the money at Discount Tire (I also bought wheels at that time). No problems with the Kumho Tires. Badyears plagued my PT until last autumn. I had one with radial pull and the other with radial push. First time I rotated my tires, I thought the PT had gone out of alignment and I took it to the dealership. They sent me to Discount Tire (Badyear dealer) who replaced the first tire. The second tire started to push about 5,000 miles later. I thought the car was out of alignment, but rotated the tires to be sure and BAM! Another Badyear bites the dust.

I can't believe that DC and other manufacturers keep putting these crappy Badyear Turkey LS tires on the vehicles they sell (can't bring myself to call them "Eagles")... When I was heavily considering trading my PT for a Scion (don't flame me - I have my reasons) the hardest part to accept in that trade was losing my Kumho tires and getting more Badyear Turkey LS Tires... (that and having payments again).
