Default Sorry I've been away

Howdy everyone. Sorry I haven't been posting lately. School has really been kicking my butt and i've been dealing with the BRAC and other issues. First thing is first. I have orders to Elmendorf AFB, AK! I am so happy about this move. I'm trying to find some fellow PT'ers to get together with when i get there. Second, I made the E-6 list for the AF!! This is a big shock to me! I made E-6 on the second try. I've done a few things to the PT. I painted the side mirrors and finally replaced the plugs and wires in the PT. I may be getting a Bruzer kit for the car as well.

Our last base was Elmendorf before my husband retired in 2000, as a E-9. If you like it cool and hunt and fish, you'll be in heaven. Was thrilled to leave. We are desert rats at heart. Made the decision to retire in the desert many years ago.(we were in for 29 years) We were stationed at Davis Monthan in the early 70's and was stationed at Nellis in the mid 80's. Congrats on the promotion. My husband was a command and control tech.(the command post)

Congrats on the promotion! And enjoy the great outdoors there in Alaska. I'm stationed at Andrews AFB and plan to retire there(E-7 with 22+). As far as the PT goes, it is the little things that make it one of a kind. Good Luck.

My family lives in Waldorf. I graduated from Stone in 92. I was just up there last week. Mom works for SATO at wing headquarters. Probably have run into her.

airevac19, I've been having PC problems for a few months and been too busy to get it fixed. So belated as it is, "Welcome Home" and good luck on your next assignment to Elmendorf. I once spent about half my life doing a year on Adak, Alaska. But that's a whole different Alaska.

Congrats on the promotion! Hope the transition goes smoothly. I retired at McChord in '93 as an E-8 after 20 years. I visited Elmendorf on a staff assistance visit in the 80's and was given the mission briefing, "We, the men and women of the Aerial Port Squadron, are prepared to carry out our mission during all four seasons: June, July, August, and Winter."
