Default Almost a trophy

I entered my car in the special interested class, thinking I would bring home the gold. Then 3 53 corvette clones came in and I went home with my tail between my legs.

I, of course, am a definite fan of Corvettes, but I hate those 53 clones...they ruined a great looking classic car.

Meanwhile, got a big show coming up next Monday (4th of July) and the promoters have advertised special trophies for the occasion. I'm hoping to take home one of these bad boys at the end of the day. The big one is a Best of Show in each class, the other is a Top 20

John,

How's the PT scene down in your area? Get hooked up with any club yet?

53 was the first year. I know, I fell in love with the 40th anniversary edition in 93 and they just had the largest gethering of Corvette's ever at the factory in 2003 for the 50th birthday bash.

Anyway, the clone is a 53/54 body style put onto a new generation (C5) frame. They had to lengthen and widen it to fit and it just doesn't look right.

Your loss in the Special Interest Class is more understandable than mine. I lost to a WW II antiaircraft halftrack.
