Default Power steering whine problem identified

For the last several months my power steering has been producing a whine that changes in pitch with steering angle. The noise goes away when the car has been driven a while but it is back the next morning. The first time I took it into the dealer, they didn't find the problem. This time they did. In fact, there is now a TSB on the high pressure hose from the power steering pump. They ordered a new hose for me and I should have it soon. I can't wait to be rid of the noise.

Is this different from the leaking PS hose that goes to the radiator? I had that replaced some time ago. I thought it was a transmission hose but the dealer said it was a PS hose. Didn't know the PS fluid was cooled as well.

Thanxs for the info, i'm getting the same (well sorta) problem, in my case the whine appears after driving the car a while and is barely audible when driving, only if you steer in a stop slight or parking, son
the dealer didn't put much time (and effort) to find the problem but with this info i gonna push em lol.

Is this something that can be changed by a novice? I have the the same sound in AM when starting car but goes away. Great info on this site.
