Default first oil change and tire pressures?

Now that I have 3,000 on my '05 GT w/autostick(bought 7/04/05. (hey I like to drive!)..it's time for the oil change. It used almost 1 quart, which from what I read is acceptable. Not really into doing it myself this first time, What's the dealer gonna put in, and doesn't the GT take a different filter/oil ?
Also, got around to checking my tire pressure(205/50r17,stock rubber)...the sticker on the door says 38lbs, I assume at max load cold. Imagine my surprise...22lbs. all the way around. I didn't change it right then, took a 250 mile jaunt...the hot pressure read 28 lb. . So, what's the scoop on pressure? More interested in a smooth ride and tire wear than performance. And when can I switch to Mobil 1 ? or should I ? Now let me go run an errand, turn off that traction control and have to jump in front of that 'BMW sedan....

First reads your owners manual. It covers all that you ask...as far as Mobil 1 you can start using it right now. Your tire pressue label is on your drivers door....

Those Good-for-a-year tires you got aren't going to take that abuse that long, you need to pump them up to what the sticker says... plus, do you really want to use MORE gas than needed?

Tire pressure is way too low. The tires a flexing (and heating up and wearing ) a lot, that's why hot pressure is up - but pump cold psi up to 38.
Yes, turbos have a longer filter.
I would go to Mobil 1, particularly with a turbo.....
Wifey got free oil changes from dealer on her van - I just put a 5-quart jug of Mobil 1 on passenger side, and they use that.

Use Mobile 1 SuperSyn, K&N Filter and the air pressure that's listed on inside of drivers door.

"....I would go to Mobil 1, particularly with a turbo....."

I'm not attempting to start a "dreaded" oil thread here, and this is a question from a PT wannabe owner, but if the manufacturer doesn't call for it, why do you feel it's necessary to use synthetic oil if you change engine oil at the scheduled intervals? Does dino not meet the proper lubrication standards?

Dino oil meets Daimler/Chrysler standards, but why in the world settle for "meets" when one can use synthetic which has proven time after time over time to far exceed standards - enhances performance, resists lubricant breakdown & extends engine life?

Get those tires up to 38psi and put a 5 quart jug of Mobil 1 on the passenger's floor and have them put it in. My dealer doesn't carry it. And yes, the turbo does take a different filter.
