Sounds to me like you're just p.o.'d that your wife talked you into a car you really didn't want to buy. Try putting the pants back on...
LOL! I think I'm most upset about losing her old car (head gasket wasn't worth repairing). It was my primary hauler for my hobby equipment. I can fit the stuff into the PT but the fit is considerably tighter.

I guess I figure that I must appear to be a diehard PT enthusiast because I now have two of them. I don't hate my PT by any means, I am just a bit ambivalent towards it. My wife wanted a convertible though and the PT fit the bill the best. The only other time I had two of the same vehicles was when I bought a Dodge Dart to use for spare parts on my Plymouth Valiant.

BTW, the Valiant wasn't a great car but it had lots of character. I once took Supertramp home from a concert in it. The lead singer had never seen a three-on-the-tree transmission before and he got a real kick out of watching me drive it. I also enjoyed starting it with a 3 foot roll and a pop of the clutch. You can't really do that with today's computer controlled cars.

You're right the old Supra wasn't fast. However, it handled great in the curves, had good torque and about the best seats of any production car I ever drove. Of course, after 230K miles I was most impressed by its durability and economy. And, it was still as fun in the corners as the day I bought it. Those are my standards for a great car. I can't imagine the PT having a longer life or lower cost of ownership (even if using inflation adjusted pricing).
