Alll I can say is that the standard gap is fine for my stage 0 stock boost car. It never misses a beat. Would it be better with a closed up gap? I dont know for sure one way or another. Any dyno people that have tried with a standard plug and or Iridiums?? Just a guess is that if the gap is too wide for a turbocharged or supercharged car the ignition could blow out and car would run like crap!

Since you are at stock boost levels, then you wouldn't have a problem with the .052 gap. A tighter gap might still be better for you tho. And yes, if you were running must higher boost (say like spiking at 20psi and holding at 17psi) you might suffer from the spark "blowing out", meaning the spark plug gap would be insufficent to properly ignite the mixture due to the added pressure in the cylinders. That's basically the reason to reduce the gap size. The added benefit is better igniting of the mixture, resulting in more power and better emissions levels.
