Yep, lost my 2 best friends in traffic accidents. The first to a housewife who ran a red light on the way to pick her kids up from school. The second I lost when a baptist preacher swerved to miss a dead dog in the road and hit my friend in his dune buggy head on.
I assume that most people on this forum have the good sense to know when and where and how to drive safely.
Maybe you live in an urban area where there is no safe place to exceed the speed limit without endangering innocent lives. Some of us live in more rural settings or less populated cities and from time to time have the road to ourselves and can "have some fun" occasionally.
After spending much time reading your posts on this and other forums I find that many of them are used to tell someone else they're an idiot.
What has happened in your life to make you so spiteful and full of rage?

Yes, I have, when I was young & stupid. I lived in South Jersy & used to race in Philly back in the early 90's.BUT I got my respect from raciing at ATCO & Englishtown. Plus, I didn't go braging about it on the internet, so I could be an attention whore. I know from experience that street racing means absolutely nothing. No slips, no proof, all bull****.
Now I have a family & dumbass things like street racing, speeding & running red lights puts my family in Jeopardy. Someday you too will come to that conclusion, I just hope you live long enough.
Farms only give a false sense of security. You ever seen a chevelle hit a cow @150MPH....I have. Or blow a tire( from metal left in the road from a combine) & hit a ditch & go flipping through a field @120..I DID.
Racing around farm land can be MORE dangerous, for the simple fact that if something goes wrong..there will be no paramedics to come save you in 5 minutes. I waited in my car for more than 1/2 hour & if it wasnt for my roll cage I would have been dead.

So yes, I have done many many stupid things. I try to educate no tpreach.
You many not see farm land as being dangerous, but listen to experience. Do you drive the road looking for debris, before a race? I highly doubt.

F&F fake racing...well have him post up time slips. Two 14 second cars racing on the streets..how is that even remotely not "F&F style"? They can go fast enough to kill someone, but they are so slow they would get laughed at in a real race.

Quit bitching. since when are we not sopossed to tell people our 'kills' on a forum, and its not atteniton whoring at all. it just means that one of us got to race a TL and its faster.

14 sec FWD cars were safer not because they ' arent fast enought to kill people' but they dont have to worry about the back end kicking out and running into somthing. its a fock lot easier to control a 14 sec fwd car than a 11 sec RWD car. hence, safer.

Everyone knows someone who has gotten killed, you are not special, quit acting like you are.

i am not defending all street racing, just dont be a dick when someone posts how they beat another car.

i, personally, dont race till after midnight when there are hardly ever any cars out. the one redline i raced ( the video is in general turbo discussions) is an exception, it was late at night but there still was some traffic. i just really wanted to race a new redline.

Racing at the track is my ideal and whenever someone calls me out, i tell them when i will be at the track for them to race me. i like it a lot better, you get solid times, and its a lot safer atmosphere.

The problem with street racing is that way too often people don't use common sense. Here is a good example:

Sorry 13secPTCruiser, but that was just plain dumb. You were racing on a crowded street with a tanker truck right in front of you. Then you cut across two lanes (in front of the idiot you were racing), and come to a hard stop.

I think if you stop to think about it, you'll see that was dumb. I'm not saying that you are dumb, but rather that sometimes you do dumb things. Especially when the passion for your car is involved.

And that is why street racing (or stop light racing, or whatever you want to call it) is dumb. Too often, your brain shuts off when the pedal meets the metal.

i didnt slam on my brakes, when i passed him, he stopped accelerating.
and it was a 2 lane road.
