Default drilled and slotted rotors - are they worth it?

i've spotted many "drilled and slotted" rotors for sale on ebay for pt cruisers.

does anyone have these deals on their pt right now?

do they really enhance the pt's brake performance?

Got mine off EBay from a Company in Southern California and I love mine. Replaced both front and rears, put SS hoses on both ends and installed ceramic pads. Put on about 5,000 miles and love them. With windows down you can hear them make a little whine noise and I sure love the dustless pads. Only possible drawback with these really cheap rotors is that they were a little thinner than my stock rotors with 35,000 miles. They only cost something like $180 for all four shipped to my door. They are slotted, drilled and zinc washed. So far no rust.

Up to you, but brakes and tires are 2 things I want to be sure of quality...
As to drilled/slotted in general - unless you're racing, don't think you'll need/notice the difference. Get good quality steel replacements - there is a difference in the quality of the steel.
The above my $.02.

I have Brembo drilled/slotted on mine. Defintiely not $180.00 shipped for four! But, well worth it. Don't know that they provide any more braking in normal driving, but I know that they are there when I get on them. I have them paired with Hawk HPS pads at all four corners and they stop very well. I've found the quality of the Brembos to be very high. They were also zinc coated, and that seems to be holding up well. Do your homework on this stuff, and you won't be dissapointed. Don't skimp on tires or brakes! Also, you can expand the search by looking for brakes for a Dodge SRT-4, if you have a PT GT, that is. They share the exact same components.

He's the admin of this site. Long story on the hate, but let's say at one point I had a different name (ok, names) on here and incurred an IP ban for subversively mentioning a fellow PT'ers excellent intake pipe and that it and he were available on another forum, one which it is impossible to type into this forum without having it automatically changed to a different word...Needless to say, when I found out that my posts were being edited and censored because this sites admin didn't like a site and a person I had mentioned, I questioned it. Apparently that questioning earned me the title of subversive, and I was no longer allowed to play in this sandbox. Funny, because I had only ever dispensed and asked for advice, I didn't get into the back and forth flamewar crap, at least not until I was pissed off. Thing of it is, I was only one in a long line of useless ridiculous bans that arose out of the whole thing. But, I'm on a different IP addy now, and I'm back... Probably until he see's this post , then it, and me, will disappear....

Anybody who tries to paint Jody as a bad guy is naive.

Like the current TO/Eagles soap opera, there are different tales to tell, and neither is wrong.

I got tired of the whole Jody-bashing thing a long time ago, but I still get pissed at people trying to paint Jody as some thin-skinned egomaniac. Nothing could be further than the truth.

(OK, Jody, where's my five bucks?)

Hey, I still have no idea what the original feud was about, I just got caught up in it, which is what irked me. Then to be not only banned, but IP banned without so much as an email calling me an asshat...that seemed wrong to me.....

(edited for content, apparently.....)

sorry for opening up a can a worms, opening pandoras's box, pouring salt in an old wound - i agree let's keep the personal stuff off-line and keep it - purely pt.
