Here's the deal: as the stock pads wear down, the level of fluid in the (in my opinion) too small master cylinder gets lower. There is a sensor in the master cylinder that senses how much fluid there is and illuminates the brake light when it detects a low condition. With the wear of the pads, the level gets low enough to trip the light under hard launches. Don't worry, though, your brakes won't give out tommorow. I drove mine until the light came on under even a moderate launch, then replaced all 4 corners.......So, you can either pour more brake fluid in (which you'll have to remove when you do the brakes), or wait another month and do your brakes.....

thanks for the reply blackboosty[^] - per your suggestion, i'll hold off on adding fluid, as it will go back to normal once i install new "shoes". just glad to hear it's not a TSB deal.

Agree completely w/Blackboosty-
Suggest you get ceramic pads - I got Raybestos (rockAuto.com or from NAPA) - they last longer and NO DUST![?]
