Well, now you can rule out ignition....for quite a while.
Long shot - take a look at the motor mounts to see if one's shot.
How many miles on it? I'm thinking maybe throttle body crud/dirty air cleaner?...[:I]

We just turned over 24K miles, and the air filter is good + the airbox vent sponge was only slightly oily before I washed it so hopefully there has been no contamination of the intake tract.
Anyone have a suggestion for a throttle body cleaner & technique just in case?
Good suggestion quicksilverdon.....what's the life expectancy of the PTGT motor mounts assuming they haven't been abused / with abuse?
I'm also interested in hearing more about how grounding issues could relate to idle quality so MR.2U please tell me your experiences!

Thanks,
Brian

At 24,000 miles, I would think intake & air filter should be fine.
I was thinking of abuse w/motor mounts... you said vibration, sooo...that could do it.

The upper motor mount is stock, and passes a visual inspection as being in good shape (I'll have a look at the lower one over the weekend).
The idle is still a solid but less-than-smooth 900rpm, and since I do see evidence of the headlights flickering when the doors lock or the windows are actuated I'm going to put together something like a MeanGreenGround kit (I've done this on our 944 with good results) and see if that helps.

Thanks again,
Brian
