what size is stock exhaust ?

Default what size is stock exhaust ?

hey guys this site is the best thing ive dicoverd since i got my 03 gt...but back to the topic on hand what size is the stock exhaust ive heard 2"1/4 and 2"1/2 i was wonderin cuz im tryin to find a axle back bolt on muffler or should i gor with the agp turbo 3"

2.25 is stock and 2.50 is what you need to take full advantage of stage 2 which will never be an option for the PT.

2.5-inch pipe is also good with STAGE 1 as the turbo spools up faster. [8D]

Yes,as mentioned the stock size is 2.25". Most guys will tell you if you're going for serious performance a 3" exhaust is highly recommended. Ofcourse, they told me this about a month after I built my 2.5"[xx(] The easy way around this for me would be a 3" downpipe with an electric cutout

Of course the only time you could legally use the cutout would be on the track. Chrysler engineers swears the stock exhuast pipe is not the bottle neck in our exhaust system. If you go with a 3" downpipe and keep the 3" pipe all the way to the cat and put in a high flow cat then the 2.25 single pipe exhaust may be the bottle neck.
