Just wanted to let you all know how this turned out. New plugs didn't help so I took it to the dealership. Turned out to be a faulty pcm. I'm not sure why this "glitch" would only now start showing itself at 30k. [:I] The pcm was replaced under warranty and all is well again.

appreciate the follow up. glad your pt is back in action. btw: did your check engine light ever trip on? usually, a dealer won't do anything without seeing a trouble code first.

The CEL never came on once the whole time this was going on. There may have been stored codes though. I'm not really sure. But they had no trouble duplicating the problem when they test drove it.
