Default Wish me luck

Taking her to the dealer this morning to see why I have a lil shimmy in the steering, inner shoulder wear on the front driver's tire, a clunking noise when letting off on the gas on hard acceleration and wth is up with the brake light coming on during hard acceleration.

Ya think they may give me some trouble over the mods I have on her? They are listed below. Gonna swap the Air Raid back to the stock box before heading out.

None of your "Mods" should have anything to do with the problems your having so nothing should be said about them. Good Luck.

Couple of predictions:
100% sure - Brake light is because your pads wore and pistons in calipers are out a little more, causing brake fluid to drop - when you hit gas, fluid will "slosh" & show low fluid. You can either add some fluid or get ceramic pads & get rid of brake dust at the same time.
90% sure - inner shoulder wear on a tire - alignment.
50% sure - shimmy - balance/alignment.
Not sure - clunk - could it be the wastegate closing when you take foot off gas? I see you have an intake - when I put on my K&N intake, I was amazed at noises I heard.
Let me know how I am with my "predictions"....

2% and .002% or roughly the same as the average American believing it's a good idea to turn over our ports to a nation that recognized the Taliban as the Afghan government and doesn't recognize Israel...
and Cheney being named Humanitarian of the year...

Still waiting to hear back from them. BTW I used to manage a shop The brake light would only come on under WOT from a stand still. First thing I thought of was it being low from natural wear of the pads but it isn't. The clunking when letting off on the gas from hard acceleration feels and sounds more like a mount to me. Never had a curb check nor anything similar to one to knock the alignment off so I am pretty sure whatever is making the clunking noise is related to the alignment. Anywho, I will keep ya posted as the news comes in.

Ahhhh it was the rear drums that was causing the brake trouble. I should have checked them last week when I rotated the tires. The tech did say she needs a 4 wheel alignment but never did find what may have been making the clunking noise. He also said that they do recommend an alignment every 12 months on these cars.

Off topic, last week I installed the Heartthrob dual exhaust on the car and noticed the turbo does spool up faster but I am experiencing a fade in power before shifts. I don't have a boost gage, could it be she is hitting peak well before shifts and just bleeding off boost earlier? It feels like she doesn't have as much torque as she used to.

How do they do a 4 wheel alignment when the rear is a solid axle? The dealer did only a front end alignment when I had Eibach springs installed.

Mean Green,

Just had mine done at the dealer a couple months back. I wasn't allowed in the alignment bay to see for myself but the mechanic told me that the PT can use a 4 wheels alignment. If the back is out of spec, shims are needed for correction. Was he pulling my leg to get extra bucks? [:I]
