Default Shifter ball removal
Just was wounderin if anyone could give me some tips on how to remove the ball. the paint on mine is chipping off and makin a mess all over the boot and like areas . so i was gonna take it off and do somethin with it. what am i gonna do,[:I] THANKS in ADVANCE. [8D]

i believe you use a hair dryer to heat it up,

Just wack it with a 2x4 or something, it pops right off. It is just an interference fit thing. I opened up a large adjustable wrench a little larger than the stick and hit it that way. No need to heat is up.

speaking of balls......the wifes wants a skull shift knob on her 5speed. Anybody purchased a good fitting one?
