Default Plastic manifold & plugs

Okay, I'm told you can change plugs without taking the manifold off with a swivel socket...
Well, that's true for 3 out of 4....
The plug to left of center (# 2) I couldn't get socket on - there's a rib on the manifold in the way - the rib is reinforcing (not a seam) and I'm considering taking a Dremel to the rib...
Anyone changed plugs on a plastic manifold? What's the trick?[:I]

I think it takes a second universal joint on top of the swivel socket. but I haven't had to mess with my plugs since I put in the manifold.

I HAD a second universal on the swivel socket...
I did it last night. Took a Dremel to the rib - it was about 1/2" -right on the centerline of where the plug is - I used a sanding drum that melted the plastic and left a rib about 1/8 - 1/4 " - it was enough, and then it was quite easy.
One more tip - the socket rubber would grap the plug and when I went to pull out, the universal would unclip from the socket - I took a thin strip of duct tape, put it on the end of the universal, shoved it into tthe socket swivel, and they were hard to pull apart - worked like a champ.[?]

That's a valuable bit of information, Don [^]

Thanks,
