One more thing on the comment about tires/ I might be buying new wheels and tires this fall. I was all bummed out when I found out the Boyd coddington "smoothie" wheel wouldn't fit on the Gt, due to larger calipers. (the deep dish design is what lured me) I also do not like my stock Rags, as someone put it. I'm about as confused as anyone can get when I read about tire size and what I should do. I know I want a thicker tire, with more rubber on the outside, not the low profile stuff. One of the members here told me I would screw up my odometer? when I look at tire numbers I see more digits than on my Tax return. so before I make a mistake, I will walk slow. I will be tkaing notes at the Champaign Cruiser car show in 2 weeks. With Hundreds of Custom Cruisers, I should be able to get some ideas.

You won't screw up the odo if you do a -1 or -2 application. Any good tire shop or online retailer should be able to give you the right tire size to maintain the proper rolling circumfrence for your application. If you can't find anyone let me know as I have written a spreadsheet (but it is in the much un-used Lotus) that will compare five different sizes to the stock size and return the difference in rolling circumfrence in inches and if you know your gear ratios (trans and final drive) it will estimate land speed or engine RPM depending on the info you input.

Hate to be the one to say this, but simply doing a bit more won't catch a PT up to the WRX. My brother has a WRX wagon. 227 hp, not the same as a GT, and it has AWD. Before Mustang Cobras were supercharged, they pushed 320 hp. In the WRX wagon, I raped the hell out of a Cobra from 45-115 mph, through straights and curves. I've also toasted any and all ricers that want to have a go, as well as Mustang GTs and Camaros and Firebirds and the like. When my PT is done, it'll have a lot more power than the WRX but off the line, the AWD will get me simply due to grip. Of course, a PT with a lot more power will catch up quickly but still lose that little bit off the line.
