I think motor mounts would be near $1000 if you have no warranty. I know for sure that a water pump installation is $851 at the dealer with no warranty. If you get both done at the same time, the motor mount labor will be less, and you can throw in a new timing belt while they are doing if for lot less. My water pump failed at 35,000 miles and the timing belt had cracks in it probably from the 110 degree heat that my PT Cruiser is driven in. The motor mounts had cracks in them too at the same mileage and had to be replaced. It is best to have a Chrysler dealer do this work because other garages can exceed the book time if they have no experience with this car.

I've used Mopar Combustion Chamber Cleaner Part # 04318001 in a Ram and a Cherokee in the past. It's an aerosol that cost about $10 or $15 at the dealer. Just follow the directions on the can.
Since the only gas I can buy is %10 ethanol, I wonder if is necessary for my PT?

I've used the TECHRON additive for a long time, it's worth the cost, my cars run smoother & get better mileage.

BTW, anyone ever added MARVEL MYSTERY OIL to their gas tank? The instructions say it has lubricating qualities ... sounds like a good thing.

The best and cheapest decarbonization is water. Run it through a manifold vaccum line or pour slowly down the throttle body while at about 2,000 rpms. Just don't let it stall or it will screw up the engine.
