anyone found any after market struts that will fit our hatches?

mine&wifes are fine, i had to replace them on my 94 plymouth duster after about 5 years hatch wouldnt even stay up

They do wear out eventually, I haven't noticed a problem on my PT, but I had to replace them on other cars over the years.

BTW they are called 'lift supports', probably to avoid confusion with MacPherson Struts. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McPherson_strut)

I had to replace mine the second year I had my car. (backed into the garage with my hatch up...bad...) I couldn't find aftermarket at that time but had heard they are now available.

Just had mine replaced under warranty after one began to weep. Have 35,700 miles and the extended 7/70 warranty.
Also had my fog light replaced under warranty after water got into them and discolored them.
Finally found a decent dealer.
S1 plus
