Default LEDs vs. conventional bulbs

hi - anyone out there replace their 3157 tail light and/or brake light bulbs with LED equivalents?

i'm looking at some "24 led" replacement 3157 bulbs on eBay - and am wondering if the LEDs are REALLY brighter[8D] than the stock 3157s.[:I]

From what I hear is that they are brighter at straight on angle, they also last longer than regular bulbs, but if you get the type of taillight that has a bunch of led bulbs and a few goes out than you might have to replace the whole unit.

There's a variety of makers - I have read ggod things about IPCW, so I got those for the tail/Brake bulbs. They're about as bright as stock from the side, but from directly behind, they're MUCH brighter.
They also don't give off much heat, and since I have Alteeza Gen 3 lenses, I feel better.
I didn't get the turn signal, because you need resistors, or else the blink rate goes screwy.

Take a look under Turbo Wheels/Suspension/Handling - I've posted some pics of the lights you may be looking for... I love 'em! [?]
