Default New Plugs & Wires ?

Hi All!
My PT GT is about to hit 60K miles. I thought I'd replace the plugs and wires myself.

Motor is straight stock. I live in S Texas where it's pretty hot 8 months out of the year. My driving is about 60% highway & 40% street. I run full synthetic Penzoil, if that matters.

Based on the above, what would you all recommend for replacement plugs and wires?
Thanks for any and all suggestions!!
BB

Minimum plug wires from MOPAR high performance and new copper champions. I loved my NGK Iridiums with stock gap. Ran 35,000 with no maintenance and then I sold my 03GT. I found NGK and MOPAR wires gave me very smooth performance and a little quicker acceleration but no better gas mileage.

I also went with NKG iridium plugs, gapped at about .030 - most recommendations I've run across recommend .028 - .032, so I split the difference...

Amen on better wires! I'm sure the MOPAR high performance wires are vastly superior to original equipment & should do the trick. I opted for Magnecore when I installed my iridium plugs & have been well satisfied over the 10k or so since installation...

Not a performance move, but should help keep the old scoot running its best ...

I think the best deal for wires are Crane from www.RaceAndStreet.Com
The Cranes have only 25 ohms per foot!
We all agree the stock wires are crap.
Plugs - either copper or irridium - your call, just don't put platinum in your turbo, not recommended.

Thanks to all for the info!!

Curious: Why are the platinums not recommended for the turbo?
Thanks!

Most of the gearheads say that a turbo runs too hot for platinum plugs & eventually the tips will do a meltdown. Then again, others say they've run platinum with no problems. The counter by the first group is that if you lean into the throttle regularly, you could run into trouble & you're safest running the standard copper plugs or stepping up to iridium...
