Only know of two reasons for going to belts 1)$$ 2) Noise As much noise as our turbos make, you can scratch #2!!

Chains don't break, but the cam gear wears out which if not replaced will eventually let the chain skip a tooth or two. Then the exhaust valves will have a head on collision with the pistons.

had the timing gear set up in my old camaro, never had to worry about for the 250k miles I put on it. It just had a nice little whine like the car had a supercharger
