Default idle miss and boost surge

Hi i have a 03 GT with 40K. I have a miss at idle on the #4 cyl. onlywhen it idles and while im driving the turbo is putting out like 8-10 #'s and all of a sudden shoot up to around 20#'s for a second and go back to norm. the car sat for 2 weeks and when i went to work on the miss (check plugs)the #3cyl. plug was wet with gas. Could a leaky inj. on #3 make #4 miss?other than that the plugs were fine.the wires are 8months old (8.5mm)new wires are coming in tomarow morn. Back to the boost surge could that be the BOV? i heard there is a rubber valve that sometimes tears.has anyone heard of this?

I doubt a problem in # 3 could cause #4 to miss...
What I always do is swap wires between 2 cylinders to see if problem stays or moves....
The majority of missing problems are plug wires - the PT eats them (I think Crane wires last longest), but I have read of intake gasket leaks - the test is to spray WD40 along the intake runners when the car is idling - if it smooths out, you've got a bad intake gasket...

i put new wires on and it did the same thing so i switched the firing order (waste spark)to check the coil and i checked the resistance in the primary which was good. i will try the wd-40 when i get out of work tomarrow. I got that plastic intake man. and will be putting that on when i get the stage 1 which should've been here a week ago.

Coils on the PT hardly ever go bad - and when they do, they take out 2 cylinders...
You getting any error codes (P304 only?).
If you're going to do the new manifold, look carefully at the gaskets - specially around 3-4. On another PT forum, couple guys had problems similar to yours and that's what they found (Intake gasket bad)[:I]

Thanks for getting back with the cure - that's the only way I learn is when the problem is fixed. [?]
Under warranty is good!
