I have a 03 GT and I'm having the same problem. Really not a problem, it runs great. The check engine light will appear two or three times a week . My oil light will do the same sometimes when I first start the car and then I shut it down and restart it, it also disappears. My warranty is still good going to dealer and have it checked out. will let you know what they come up with.

Welcome, Turbonate.
Seems you only had a one-time. The error code will stay in memory, so you're seeing what was stored a week ago.
Usually doesn't pay to go after 1-time "glitches" - if it comes back...
Which leads to Don-
Dealer ought to get you a new knock sensor, since yours shows up a lot.
I'd be more concerned about oil light...[:0]

Your Knock Sensor is going bad. I am having mine replaced today.

Knock Sensor enables your vehicle to obtain the optimum combination of timing and fuel/air mixture to generate power and efficiency and that means less wasted gas. It keeps fuel from detonating in the cylinder exploding rather than quickly burning as it should.

If not replaced a faulty Knock Sensor can quite literally cause hundreds if not thousands of dollars in damage.

the oil light is probably the oil sending unit they have been known to go bad and send false readings to the dash

Is the Knock Sensor easily replaced or should it be taken to a shop?

Both are DYI if you have some skills with a wrench..

Service manual and $40 in parts and a afternoon you will be fine.
