Hi my Dads friend has a 05 pt gt and want to make about 330hp or more as of right now he has a intake, down pipe, full exhaust(don't know the size or what kind)and a stage 1 e.c.u. chip.He wanted me to help him and i know a great amount about makeing cars faster i jsu tdidn't know what is best for these 2.4 turbo motors and i wanted to hear first hand from people who mod up theses cars.I just need to know what is the best street set up for 300-420hp and i need to know some good companies to look at.

This is probably not the place for you then. To answer your question quickly, you WILL NOT go north of 300hp on the stock turbo without spray. You want 400hp? You have to go big turbo, and I don't mean 50 trim. Over at PT C*r*e*w* (www.pt*c*r*e*w.com - Take out stars) there are a couple 3-400hp PT's running around. In fact, here's a link to what a 400whp PT looks like on the dyno: http://media.putfile.com/430whp-dyno-run-PT-Cruiser

This guy has a custom intake, GT30, RC750's, custom exhaust manifold, fully custom 3" exhaust, HUGE i/c, 65mm tb, TiAl wg, Greddy Boost Controller, AEM Standalone, nx sprayer on the ic,a Quaife LSD and a 3 stage shot he's never hit. He also has several roasted clutches, and no reliable way yet to get the power to the ground.....yet.....lol

All that said, you can get right around 300 on the stocker, or slightly over on something like the SST or Enforcer 2. Think of it as an SRT-4. While Stage 2 and Stage 3 PCM's don't work, everything else does, as long as you can tune it. It's the same block, internals and turbo. In fact, it's the same front brakes too. The intake mani is different, and the trannies are different. The auto is a 41te, which, if you have it, will need to be built up by AJ at A&A transmissions. If you have the 5 speed , you're good to go, but you'll need a better clutch. The 5 speed is a Getrag, compared to the SRT's NVT. Tell your friends Dad to join SRTFroums.com and start reading up, and to join PT*c*r*e*w (take out stars) as well.....

How come "The People" in the First Amendment means The People; "the People" in the Fourth Amendment means The People; but "the People" in the Second Amendment (ratified in 1791) means the National Guard (created by an Act of Congress in 1903)?

Go to: http://www.agpturbo.com/home.php?cat=268

AGP is one of he better big turbo companies and the kits are well made. Just let your friend know his pockets should be fairly deep if he decides to step-up to a big turbo and run close to 400 HP. Plan on spending at least $5,000-$6,000 for a kit and all the supporting mods and that is if he get's most of the labor done for free or he does it himself. If he's running an auto-tranny he'll need to upgrade it also to the tune of another additional $3,000-$3,500. The auto trannies will self destruct if you go much above Stage 1 levels.
