Just wanted to bring this one back up to the top. I have a V-1, but I don't use it anymore because in OH the staties all have laser, and I got a ticket with my old PT from a local cop - with laser. On temp tags. My second. Ouch. Who says the n/A PTs are slow? - Nate

legal depends where you live, in ontario canada, all radar detectors, jammers etc.. are illigal, insurance companies can/will suspend coverage, and you get a whopping big fine.

With all I am reading from you fellars up north, they are pretty hard on you guys arent they?
I was running late one morning so I get on the freeway, which I dont do unless, I buzzed a Tippy, (what I like to call the Texas equiv to California CHIP), at light speed and he hit me with lazer and he had me big time, his problem was that I did not have the front plate for him to aim at and the front of the Dak. is mostley plastic. He just panned with me as I screamed by. I do not know why he let me go but he never even climbed on his motorcycle. I did laugh like a fool all the way to work. The bird dog I have now talks and even lets me know about trains and fire trucks and the like.

Anybody know of a site that shows whether these crazy things are legal or not? I know detectors are illegal in VA, but I know there's more. Even if they are illegal, will anyone know what it is to catch you? -Nate

some states have random car spot checks they may find it then, also what if an unmarked cop is following you, knows about the laser ahead and then all of a sudden see's you slamming the brakes on for no apparent reason?

he's thinking radar/laser detector.
