Default Front Plate Bracket

I'm bringing home my first Pt cruiser tomorrow, an 04 Dream Cruiser with auto stick. The front bumper is perfect, never wore a license plate. I will have to hang a plate for my state. I see there's a bracket available to locate the plate below the front bumper. I'm concerned it my block air flow to cooling components. What should I do, drill the bumper or possibly cause a problem?

You should be concerned about blocking airflow to the intercooler. Some have fabricated a bracket to mount it off to the side.

I fabbed up a braket to mount here. Unfortunately some SOB stole it. I am now making another and improving the design a bit..
