Information Needed

[GTPT]

Does anyone out there know the number of GT PT's manufactured
this year, and also the number sold? I am requesting this info
because it may be of some help knowing these stats as far as the Class Action is concerned. Help on this issue will be appreciated.

PT Cruiser US Sales Figures as of - May 1, 2003:
Month of May. 2003 - US sales of 10,563 units
144,717 PT Cruisers were sold in the U.S. from Jan. 1st to Dec. 31, 2001.
138,260 PT Cruisers were sold in the U.S. from Jan. 1st to Dec. 31, 2002.
51,303 PT Cruisers have been sold in the US this current year.

I'm not sure of my source anymore, but I saw somewhere that the figure was 35,000. I'd use that only for a personal guideline until you find the actual number, though.

I would also be nice to have a breakdown of '03 GT's in Auto and 5-speed. I've only seen one other GT here in San Diego, although there were quite a few GT Auto's on dealers's lots when I was looking for my GT but I had to go to Orange county to get a 5-speed. When I had the clutch recall done the service center here in San Diego had information that two cars needed the repair - mine not being from their stock would have been the 3rd. So the numbers of 5-speed GT's may not large in Southern California.
