Default Is my Turbo really working??

Just bought a used 2003 GT Turbo from a dealership (Jeep). I am not sure if the Turbo is actually functioning. Can anyone clue me in on what I should expect to hear or feel when the Turbo kicks in, and when it should kick in? Sounds like a dumb question, but they sold it to me with a bad clutch after saying it went through a 150 point check list. How they missed the clutch eludes me, but they were quick to install a new one for free. Nice place, but I am suspect of their PT Cruiser knowledge.

You should feel the turbo kick in around 3k rpm. There should be no doubt when it does. I'd also ziptie all vacuum lines and install T bolt clamps on the IC hoses and the turbo to airbox hose. Turbo cars are famous for boost leaks. Are you stock?

Now that I know what to look for I found it. Thanks. It's different on my son's Cobalt SS.

Cuirrently running stock, but the forum has been a wealth of info.
I've spent the last 2 days combing through it getting great ideas.
Short term plans are for Stage 1 turbo upgrade along with upgrade in wires and plugs, and cold air intake.

Cobalt SS has supercharger which is on immediately.
