Default srt-4 intake

i have read that the PT intake manifold doesnt flow as well, or make as much power as the SRT-4 intake. arent the engines basically the same ? can the SRT intake manifold be swapped onto the PT engine ? thanks guys. im new to the PT turbo. just got an 03 model yesterday

The srt intake will not fit in the PT turbo. It's the shape of the PT engine bay. I know a couple of guys running really high hp who have cut and rotated the srt intake to make it work. Or you can get the plastic intake that flows better than the aluminum one.

You don;t need the vanity cover. It traps heat and will give you heatsoak a lot faster.

wow thats a good price on that plastic intake. does it flow a good bit better than the stock intake ? i guess nitrous is out of the question with the plastic one, lol. but if the boost will make more power with it u wouldnt need any nitrous

The plastic one does flow better. It's the reason the hp went from 220 hp - 230 hp for '06. Don't know about the nitrous as I never felt the need. My '03 5 speed GT was modified to 280 hp and my '05 SRT-4 is at 315 hp right now.
