Having trouble with the 05 GT 5sp.
Been noticing a lower turbo performance and really noticable when getting on the highway in 3rd with the throttle wide open, I have power, but not as much as I remember, and if I back off just a tad, it really wants to go. Any ideas? Thanks,

Yeah, check your spark plug wires. They may be arcing. Also check your plugs too because if the wires are the problem then sometimes it ruins the plugs as well.

Just changed the wires and plugs 2 days ago and still the same. Also thought the changing of the wires and plugs would make the idling smoother but still has some skipping (not as bad though)
When I'm hard in the throttle it's got power, but if I back off just a bit (like when I'm shifting) I get a real boost (like it should react) It's got more power but not getting it all like I should.

Next try some fuel injector service and clean the throttle body. Sometimes a buildup of carbon can create the symptoms you have mentioned.

You may also have a turbo going bad..... If you are still under warranty take it to the dealership. I would still take it to a dealership anyway. Just mt opinion.

Fixed this problem.
Seems that the (spark plug shaped) vac hose was split. This is the one going from the intake side of the turbo (just under the intake on the turbo). Looks like it might be a problem for may other people too. I replaced it with a spark plug boot and works perfectly. ( the plug boot is exactly the same size and shape only beefyer)

Check all of the vac lines and intercooler (IC) hoses for leaks. Boost leaks are not uncommon even from the factory. Use zip ties on vac lines and t bolt clamps on IC hoses.

I agree with Mean Green, check for boost leaks.
