what are the two silver modules attached to the turbo

Default what are the two silver modules attached to the turbo

i see two silver attachments to the turbo - one has a thin tube coming out of it . what are these parts and what does the tube do ( put air in or release air )

without seeing what you are i would have to say it's the oil feed and return to help cool the turbo...

The silver canister with a rubber hose attached is the wastegate actuator. This is the device that actually fills with air and opens the wastegate inside the exhaust manifold to control boost. There is also a surge valve bolted directly to the compressor scroll. it has three bolts and has a hose connected to it as well. This allows pressure that backs up against the throttle plate to be vented back into the intake pipe that feeds the turbo inlet.
