I removed the snorkel and replaced it with a closet L pvc fitting that measures 3.5 inches inside on one end and 4 inches on the other. I am contemplating having the body shop enlarge the wheel well opening and welding a steel ring around the circumference to maintain strength. I added AMX's chrome tube to the turbo. If I can finish this off with an increased wheel well opening, I feel that it will be the ultimate cold air intake. Now it looks good, but is restricted by the size of the fender hole.

You may want to check where that hole leads (behind the foglight); a larger opening at the top probably will not matter given the smaller conduit that leads up to it.

I am not sure how important the size of the fender hole is considering the amount of suction that is present at the intake!

I wasn't planning to run any tubing to the front fascia. The air in the wheel well should be just fine. The tubing would restrict airflow somewhat.

Mel, there already is a conduit running from behind the foglight; I did not even see it until somone mentioned it somewhere on here.

Steel, good point, which may be why they left a gap between the snorkel and the fender and curled the end rather than seal it.
