Default New best time

I haven't posted here in a while but wanted to post my new best time from Orlando Speed world last Friday.

I was hoping to get in the 14's but was shocked what i pulled.

First Run:

R/t .617
60' 2.290
330' 6.169
1/8 9.381 @ 75.88
1000' 12.171
1/4 14.518 @ 96.25

Second run...

Next run

r/t .373
60' 2.244
330' 6.027
1/8 9.182 @ 77.33
1000' 11.914
1/4 14.224 @ 97.60!!!!

I was amazed!!!! My mods are in my sig. I had the MBC set to hold 16-17 lbs in 3rd. Ran with car in "1" without backseat w/ 1/4 tank and a bottle of octane booster. Still had spare on and was on street tires. Launched at 1100 rpm. No wheel spin just took off!!!!. I am still in shock. Was a cooler night was only 70F or so, cloudy, with a lovely 10+ mph tail wind which couldn't hurt. What is going to make you all piss your pants though is when you learn my car has 123,000 miles on the clock on the stock auto tranny!!!. I ran my G-tech on each run. Got 14.6 @ 99 on the first run and 14.3@ 101 on the second. So each time it was 0.1 sec slow and 3 mph high on speed quite consistant. Still in shock!!!!!! I was really shocked as the best I was expecting maybe 14.8 but 14.2 was amazing. I was out running modded Mazdaspeeds 3's, mustangs, and even saw a video on Youtube from Orlando speed world where a newer ferrari modena convt. running 14.3 a few weeks back( driver probably sucked) but still!! That would have been so funny, my stock looking PT cruiser beating a Ferrari.

Nuke,

Any other interests beside speed? I'm located right next door to you in Lecanto. We have a local club: Nature Coast PT Cruisers that your welcome to join in. No dues, no officers, just a bunch of owners getting together once in awhile for fun and eats. The club will be in the Veteran's Day parade tomorrow in Inverness (your home).

Great runs. How much boost are you pushing? The Mazdaspeed 3 usually runs a 14.2 stock so a modded one should be in the 13s. They should be ashamed of themselves and need the driver mod. But, a win is a win and a car is only as good as it's driver. Good job! With 123k on your auto tranny what are you looking to replace it with? I know a guy who builds bulletproof ones for around the same price as a stock one.
