Thumbs up Auto stick transmissions?

Hey all

Just doing some research, and this forum seems to be the most kickin out of the PT forums I found. Anyways, cuirous to know about the autostick in the PTs. I know I drove a PT back in the day, I believe it was a GT, and it had an autos stick. So with that I have a few questions, any answers or suggestions would be great.

-Was the auto stick an option, GT only, or did it come with all Turbo PT autos?

-Is the auto stick the the same as any other chrysler/dodge cars?

-What kind of power can these take? (is anyone pushing 300whp through one?)

-Is there any person/website that has more info on the autostick and where I could go to get that info?

Thanks, anything would be great!

1. GT only

2. It's the 41TE

3. It's weak. My 41TE went out in my 150 hp '01 PT at 81k. It was properly serviced and never abused. There is a joke on the PT turbo site I visit and that is if you are upping the power on the GT/turbo lite then you better be saving for one of AJ's auto tranny. AJ has come up with a bullet proof 41TE that will handle more power. He has three stages of them.

4. PTCrew.com - Learn it or Burn it. AJ is known as transman on this site.

Agree w/Mean Green.
I believe it's why the dropped the GT - when they went to new longer warranty, they knew they'd be paying for a lot of autos. It was either off the GT in manual only, fix the tranny, of kill the GT - they killed the GT.

I have AJs (transman) first 41TE,, there have been MANY upgrades,, I wasted one stock tranny and two Power Demon trannys,, that was with the old setup.
AJs tranny was 14months old when I took him the car early this year while I was recovering from shoulder surgery. It was still going strong,, but he found some other things he wanted to upgrade. 11-24-07 my car went 12.121 @ 115 MPH through his tranny.

If you go S1 then the pin is pulled,,

If you go beyond S1,, toss that gernade,,,, it's gonna blow,, PERIOD.

does this mean I should just continue to take my ass beatings from everyone (or as I often to refer to it as "taking it in the face") or should I go for the gold and stage 1 it, open intake setup and a borla exhaust?

I only want high 13's out of it.
