Default Turbo Replacement Question

My stock turbo went bad. The turbine on the exhaust side snapped off and there is not much left of the fins and the other one has curled fins on it. Not sure what may have caused this? Well, I need to replace it and was wondering if I have to replace the turbo along with the exhaust manifold or can I just replace the turbo? I had read somewhere that you have to replace them connected together as an assy. because the turbo will leak if you just replace the turbo alone. Is this true or can I get by with just replacing the turbo alone? I also can not find a tourqe spec for the clamp bolt if just replacing the turbo only. Anyone familiar with replacing a bad turbo? Any and all info and tips replacing the turbo would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brad.

the last time I seen one break like that was when I was going 140 down the highway in my shelby daytona, let off the gas, didnt push in the clutch and heard a cool sounding BOOM followed by a interesting POP.

needless to say the IC filled up with oil in about 10 seconds, got off at the exit about 15 seconds after that.

towed it the rest of the way home.

You will have to replace the manifold and turbo as an assembly. Also a good idea to replace the oil lines to and from the turbo.

If you need a exhaust manifold due to damage caused by turbine hitting the scroll let me know, I have a new one with gaskets and oil return that I'll sell cheap.
