[:I]there seem to be quite a few cruisers in town of all types we have had meet and greets but only have a few show up cannot figure out how to get more together?[:I] we do not have any dealer support like other clubs have ...such as a meet and greet at a dealership and have new cars on display for other members to see also it might attract attention to that dealer as far as traffic comming onto the lot to look at our cars as well as the inventory of the dealership....just my .02 worth.....HAPPY CRUSIN..........[8)]

I'm the president of the PT Cruisers of Silicon Valley...roughly 100 members/60 cars. We have a monthly meet-n-greet at a local ice cream place and usually get 40 cars there (have had 55 at the most). Here are some suggestions for boosting participation in an event:
1. Get some business cards and get a forum going. We use EZboard and it's worked well. Make sure to list the url for your forum on the business cards. Also list your e-mail address if you're comfortable with that.
2. Most papers will run an ad at least once a year of local car clubs and their meeting times/places. Get your venue listed in the paper. Pick up a few goodies here and there and hold a raffle. Offer to donate all proceeds to a local or national charity. This is a sure-fire way to get people there.
3. Pick a dealership or local eatery and have them "sponsor" a PT Cruiser only event. This will get you connections with local PT owners and will draw business to whatever place you hold the event.

Once a few of you get together, word will spread fast. There are enough PTs out there...you should have a nice "PT family" soon!

Good luck!

tthrift,
How are you? I live down from you in Newport News. It would be great if people would get together in this area. If anything can be organized or need help doing so, just let me know. Well, either way let me know something. It is always great to meet other performance enthusist.[8)]

Hope to talk with you later. Chris.
