Just got home from work. The timer was set to run for about 1 min. When I got out of the car, I watched the red light on the console, and hit the lock button on the remote on my keychain. THe doors locked, but the light never flashed. Not even once. Tried unlocking and locking again, but still nothing.

So now I feel like I still have to sit in my car and wait until it shuts off before I can get out! Is it possible I hit something when I was installing the timer to mess something up? Has this happened to anyone else?

yobiebs, it's 16 seconds AFTER you ARM THE ALARM!

So that's why. You need to arm the alarm, then wait. then it's ready to go off!

If you install a timer, The car will lock but the factory alarm won't arm because it senses that the engine it is still running. If you are at your house and in a good neigborhood, lock it with the remote sensor and before going to bed, click the remote sensor and the alarm will arm. When I go to a mall or to any other place that doesn't look nice, either I wait for the car to shut down and arm the alarm at that point or turn off the timer using the safety switch I installed on the brake pedal and arm the car.

I also noticed this morning that once I take the key out of the ignition, the airbag light goes on about 5 seconds afterwards. Is this anything to be concerned about?

From what I have learned from the conections, when the TT is on, Some items are off and others remain on.
Ex:
1. The AC Blower will shut down but the compressor will keep running, Make sure to turn off the AC when you are shutting down the car.

2. The radio display will be off but the radio will still operate.

3. The airbag module turns off but the computer will read it as a falirue because the Airbag is not responding to its tests.

4. The clasic, locks will engage but the allarm won't arm.

I don't know if they can harm the car or not. I think this is a job for Dalite.

Did you guys figure out a solution yet?
I just installed the turbo timer and has the exact problem.
I am just not confident enough to leave my alarm unarmed.
