Default A/C Problem?

In every vehicle I have ever owned/driven the A/C fan revs faster when the air flow knob is set to "recirculate." This is not the case with my A/S Turbo - the fan speed stays the same no matter where the knob is positioned.

Do I have a problem??

I don't think so, or we both have a problem. My fan doesn't change speed when I flip it to recirculate. The air does get colder though because I'm not drawing in outside air anymore.

Most vehicles have significantly more fan noise in recirculate than in normal/outside air mode. Although the noise is greatly increased, I don't know of any cars that actually have a higher fan speed that is limited to recirculation mode.

A number of cars that will change fan speed to high automatically when you switch to recirculate. The PT does not do that. Is that what you mean?
