2004 2.4 turbo High Output

2004 2.4 turbo High Output is this just a badge difference or does it have more than a regular turbo car?

For 2004, a regular Turbo has 180hp, the High Output version has 220hp, BIG difference in power, but, by changing the PCM with a Mopar Stage 1 upgrade kit, both will have 235hp, & 260 ft-lbs of torque. As the only difference is the PCM programming.

Also, the HO, and Stage 1 upgraded cars must use at least 91 octane gas to achieve the stated power levels, where the 180 hp car only needs 87 octane gas.

I'm planning on finding an '06 or '07 turbo 'vert.

Hard time finding a GT. Lots of Tourings w/turbos.

So the ONLY diff. is the PCM on those years? What about injectors?

The only difference is the programming for regular gas, hence the 180 hp. Injectors are the same.

I lucked out and found a 05 Turbo HO at the local dodge dealership that was just traded in. Come to find out the original owner ( sales manager of the store ) had already installed the Stage 1. I just discovered this lastnight when I ran into him at the store. It's Def. worth it to upgrade to the stage 1 reguardless of having a turbo-lite or HO. More torque and more VAROOOOM!

On Mine it only gave 5 more hp due to it being an 05 HO stock having 230hp. BUT. it adds about 20ft/lbs of torque through out the power range. Yours being an 04 stock have 220hp, it will bring you upto 235hp and 260ft/lbs of torque. It's somthing to think about latter if you desire a little more gitty-yup plus it does not affect mpg's that much, I'm getting between 270-300 miles per tank so its not to bad. Just dont let your lead foot get bored!!!

It gave you a lot more than 5hp, your factory 230hp was measured at the crankshaft, if you look at your '05 Stage 1 install sheet you will see that the '05 Stage 1 power chart shows 235 hp to the wheels, that is about a 45 to 50hp increase to the wheels, The PT auto has a 20% loss in the drivetrain & the 5 speed about 15% which puts your factory 230 crank hp down to about 184 wheel hp, ,myself and several others with '05 & up GT have had the dyno tests to prove it, it also increases the torque from 245 stock, to 275 foot pounds.
