I have a 03 GT 5sp...How hard is it to install a stage 1 kit? Does a mechanic have to do it or is it a simple thing I can handle? How much is it? Where is the best place to get it? Will warranty be voided with this ? What is a stage 2 kit

S1 requires you to replace the PCM and injectors on a 2003. Not difficult at all. Ther is no stage 2 or 3 for the PT.

If you are not mechanically inclinded with no automotive experience I think it would be a good idea for you to have a dealer do it. It is not something you would want to do for your first mod. Tell us hoe experienced you are. As for the warranty, it is going to depend on the dealer you go to really. Some don't care.
As to where to buy, I would keep an eye out for a used one. You would have to send it out for reprogramming for your particualr VIN to Fight Systems. The new ones are getting REALLY expensive. Keep en eye out in the Haves and Have Not section over at PTCREW.com. I have recently seen one for a 2003 available there. You need to get one to match your year and transmission (5 speed vs ATX)
