Default Tint LEGAL for me in IL

I had to pass this on to all of you so you know...I recently got a ticket for tinted front windows in IL, a friend of mine said, "did you know you can get medical permission for tint?" I had no idea, it just so happened that I got my cataracts removed a few months ago and my eyes are sensative to light. so I called the sec of state, got the form in the mail , had the doctor fill it out, and w WALA, I'M LEGAL!!!! if you ever see a plate in IL with black letters, thats the plate for legal tint. the form number in case you want to know is 625ILCS5/3-412
if your skin is sensative to the sun, that also works.....GOOD LUCK!

So is it a safe bet to say you'll be fighting that tinted-windows ticket in court?!? Seems like the three-tickets-at-once the cop gave you might be fightable too, overkill or harassment or something like that. Hope you win!

not to sound snotty but I LIKE my rear wiper, and where I live with out it id never know what was behind me. now if i lived in town or a paved road and had a awesome gurage and never drove the car in the rain I might think about it

I liked my rear wiper so much ... ... I replaced it with a chrome "T" handle ..... ..... I find the rear wiper is completely useless unless one has a dire need for something to wag on the back of their ride ....... talk about retro.

well ,I can tell you if you do much driving on gravel roads ,that with out that useless wager back there ,you can forget about seeing anything. and retro pretty much describes the entire PT don't you think????

Point taken .... however.... I've never quite understood the need (again, me) for gawking out the rear window (I'm more concerned with good visibility front & sides)... i've become so acclimated with utilizing my side mirrors that the rear window's nothing more than another glass requiring squeegee service ... but like i said that's just me.
